Taking Olympic security a step too far
8 December 2011
BRITISH Waterways, which runs London’s canals, has announced that it plans to shut a key lock at Commercial Road on the Regents Canal, some 1.75 miles from the Olympic site, during the Olympic Games period on security grounds.
Access to waste facilities
24 November 2011.
I READ with interest the article regarding access to waste facilities at Sawley Marina (Talkback, Issue 72, October).

25 August 2011.
YOU say there will be a ‘£30-40 million shortfall in funding’ for the new waterways charity (News, Issue 70, August). In fact, the situation is much worse than that.
A tale of two festivals
25 August 2011.
THIS year, due to their close proximity, we were in the fortunate position of being able to attend both the IWA National Waterways Festival and the following week Nottingham Riverside Festival.
