Family-owned marina and holiday park operator; Lakeland Leisure Estates, has acquired Barton Marina in Staffordshire, increasing its inland marina offering for customers across the UK.
Barton Marina is situated on the Trent & Mersey Canal near Barton-under-Needwood, with 300 berths ranging from 30ft to 70ft. The marina provides boat owners an ideal location to moor with a host of restaurants, cafés, independent retailers, and grocers onsite. Barton Marina also offers Residential Moorings for the first time across the group’s portfolio.
Lakeland Leisure Estates have already begun their program of improvements across Barton Marina including the introduction of Lakeland Leisure Boat Sales, modernising the facilities and upgrades to walkways are due in 2023 with the award-winning Dura Composites GRP Mesh being installed.

Accessible from key commuter cities such as Birmingham, Derby and Burton upon Trent, Barton Marina is at the heart of the UK canal network and well connected to a variety of popular cruising routes including The Black Country Ring, Birmingham Ring and Leicester Ring.
Adding to Lakeland Leisure Group’s hospitality portfolio of cafes and pubs across the UK, the Marina Café provides freshly cooked dishes for breakfast and lunch to moorers and the public.
