Canalathon along the Grantham Canal

by

ON SATURDAY June 29, the Grantham Canal will see a group of walkers from Greenfields Countryside Limited and GCS walking 26.2 miles in their own ‘Canalathon’ to raise funds for the Grantham Canal Society.

This idea was proposed by Greenfields Countryside Limited following a very successful Corporate Volunteering day in February and has been ably organised by team member Caroline Stevens-Turlington.

The walk will start at Tollerton Lane Bridge, Gamston at 7am and will finish 26.2 miles later at Woolsthorpe Depot at roughly 6.30pm. Along the way refreshments will be dispensed from the GCS caravan, with Greenfields particularly requesting Mary’s Victoria Sponge cake!
