CHARITY WALK: 100 miles along the Grand Union!

by

The 100-mile Grand Union Ramble is in aid of two great charities and will take place from the 19th to the 22nd of September. One of the walkers, George Kelly, told Towpath Talk:

“After last year’s success with “The Great Commute”, we’re taking to The Grand Union Canal for 2024’s 100+ miler. Going from Braunston to Buckingham Palace over the course of 4 days, we’ve even managed to rope in Nathan to join us this time around!

Two amazing companies have sponsored us to help us complete this year’s walk: Bechtle and Envisage Promotions. Our charity choices are aligned with our sponsors this time around.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance – we have picked this charity in honour of a great man and one of Bechtle UK’s original employees, Justin Edhouse. Justin sadly passed away just before Christmas and we want to use this chance to show our appreciation for a wonderful human being who left a smile on every face he encountered.

Myton Hospice – Envisage Promotions have selected Myton Hospice as their charity of choice in memory Diane Friswell, a friend of the business who unfortunately passed in July 2024. Diane and her family received support and counselling from the hospice during her illness and Envisage want to support the boys in raising money for an amazing cause.

We hope you can get behind us as we embark on another amazing adventure; make sure to keep an eye on our socials to see how we get on!
