LICHFIELD BRANCH: Winter vegetation management

by

Amy Tillson Reports…

Recently, IWA Lichfield Branch’s intrepid team of volunteers began their seventh consecutive year of winter vegetation management. This year they have been given a variety of tasks in addition to the usual cutting back of the overgrown vegetation. Repainting bridge names and numbers, removing ivy and other such growth from bridges and weed from lock walls are just a few of the variety of jobs they will be undertaking. They are currently on the Trent & Mersey Canal at Armitage and will be heading for Fradley before heading south on the Coventry Canal. If you see them, please say hello.
