Pershore Lock CLOSURE (8am-2pm Thursday 20 June 2024) Pershore Lock has sustained damage and emergency repairs are being carried out today to the bottom gates and paddle. Closure is expected to be between 8:00 and 14:00. River Nene ADVICE (Monday 17 June 2024 for approximately 4 weeks) Please be aware Aquatic vegetation management will be taking place from w/c Monday 17th June starting in Northampton. Works will take place across the system down to Dog in a Doublet Lock, subject to appropriate conditions. Brownshill Lock Updated 17/06/2024 The Navigation Advisory Notice issued last week regarding the Brownshill Lock closure is now rescinded as works have been completed and the lock is operating normally. Days Lock Update on 17/06/2024 Days Lock has been repaired and public power is now available. Benson Lock NAVIGATION ISSUE (Sunday 16 June 2024 until further notice) Navigation through the lock is currently available by handwinding only. Perio Lock Updated 18/06/2024 Contractors will be on site this week to remove the tree. ADVICE (Monday 17 June until Friday 21 2024) Please be aware that there is a fallen tree approx 50m downstream of Perio Lock – W3W location ///grudges.informal.dynasties Downstream Barton Lock to Bidford Bridge Update on 15/06/2024 Barton Lock now open with care. National Grid have restrung the electricity cables over the navigation, however the tree is still in the river but possible to navigate with care. The tree will be removed as soon as possible. Barton and Marlcliff locks are now un-locked. RESTRICTION (Friday 14 June 2024 until further notice) We have received a report of a tree blocking the navigation between Barton Lock and Bidford Bridge. This was from tree felling operations by land owners. Electricity cables have also been taken down and fallen into the navigation. DO NOT PROCEED between Bidford Bridge and Barton Lock until further notice. Rushmills Lock Update 13/06/2024 Navigation Advisory Notice issued yesterday for Rushmills, is now rescinded as the issue has been resolved. ADVICE (Wednesday 12 June until further notice) Please be aware the downstream right-hand bank paddle at Rushmills is currently out of action until further notice. St Neots Lock Landing Stages ADVICE (Wednesday 12 June 2024 until rescinded) Please be aware that there is damage to the fendering at St Neots Lock landing stages. Brandon Creek Update 11/06/2024 Navigation Advisory Notice for Brandon Creek issued on Thursday 6 June is now rescinded as the tree has been cleared from navigation. ADVICE (Thursday 6 June 2024) Please be aware that there is a tree impeding navigation at Brandon Creek, River Little Ouse. Whilst this is passable, please take extra caution whilst navigating in this area. Godmanchester Lock Updated 10/06/2024 Navigation Advisory Notice issued this morning for an intermittent fault with Godmanchester Lock is now rescinded as the issue has been resolved. ADVICE (Monday 10 June 2024 until rescinded) Please be aware that there is an intermittent fault with Godmanchester Lock. Denford Lock ADVICE (Tuesday 4 June until Wednesday 5 June 2024) Please be aware there will be contractors completing works at Denford Lock on 4 June and 5 June 2024. Teddington Barge Lock Update 04/06/2024 Teddington Barge Lock is no longer handwind only. Whitemills Lock Updated 05/06/2024 The Emergency Navigation Closure Notice issued yesterday, 4 June 2024, has now been rescinded as the tree has been removed and navigation is clear. Updated 04/06/2024 EMERGENCY CLOSURE (Tuesday 4 June 2024 until further notice) Please be aware that there is a tree obstructing the navigation at Whitemills Lock. Contractors will be in attendance Wednesday 5th June – Thursday 6th June dealing with the obstruction. Please heed any instructions issued by the on-site team.
